Hi my name is Cheryl and I live in Durham with my other half Ollie who is in the Army. I am mammy to my crazy and gorgeous whirlwinds, Jacob 5years and Una 13months. I also have two fur-babies, Kia (Labby) 11yrs and Tinkerbell (Fluffball) 6yrs. Life is never dull…
I first attended baby classes in 2017 whilst on Maternity leave with Jacob and loved every second of each class we attended. The fun, engagement, development of curiosity and understanding was just amazing to see.
Each class gave a sense of belonging and community and mutual understanding, or lack of, in this whole new world we had entered as parents. I was a first-time mammy winging each day, so to meet other parents/care givers who were in a similar situation and like minded was brilliant. Having the opportunity to talk about those sleepless nights, the leaps, the struggles and the accomplishments in a non-judgemental environment was great.
Take Two- Whilst on Maternity leave with Una, we again attended as many baby classes as possible. Seeing both my babies flourish in classes is the most amazing thing to see, knowing they are having so much fun whilst gaining so much from each class is fantastic.
In return, I get to gain something too, a magical bond and lasting memories whilst aiding them to develop mentally, socially and grow in confidence- it really is the best.
What is also amazing is what this can do for your state of mind, your confidence and your self esteem.

Lockdown and a second bambino really gave me a new perspective on life, and I made the decision that work needed to work around my family. So, the 70 hours a week in a Retail Management role would have to take a back seat to ensure I put the needs and happiness of my family and myself first.
That is also when I discovered LullaBaby, so it was a no brainier. I jumped at the chance of running my own LullaBaby franchise when the opportunity arose.
I am looking forward to welcoming you all to LullaBaby Durham classes. My aim is to provide a relaxed and personable, whilst engaging and fun environment, where there is a real sense of community within the session, so everyone can feel safe and comfortable. Somewhere you will have fun and spend time making special and lasting memories with your little one and possibly building new friendships with other parents.
