// Baby and Toddler development sensory classes in your area | Lullababy

Step 1 Birth - 5 Months

LullaBaby Step 1 is a baby class covering, Baby Massage, Baby Yoga, Paediatric First Aid, Sensory Play and so much more. The 5 week course is designed for our youngest babies and their caregivers. The course is relaxed, where you are free to tend to your baby’s needs, as well as ask questions, share ideas and discuss areas of interest. The focus of the course is to teach you a variety of skills which will promote bonding, attachment and your baby’s development.

As well as the comprehensive  baby course and paediatric first aid training, you also receive a course guide with room for note taking, a bottle of pure sunflower oil for  baby massage, a baby sensory rainbow ribbon to begin your sensory adventure, all contained within a branded LullaBaby bag, so that you can keep all of your course essentials in one place.

What does the course involve?

Baby Massage

A full body baby massage, including techniques to help relax your baby, promote deeper, longer periods of sleep, and relieve symptoms of colic and aid digestion. All delivered by a certified massage instructor.

Baby Yoga

You will learn a variety of different yoga poses and stretches. Baby yoga helps to promote strength, muscle tone, spatial awareness, relaxation, balance and co-ordination.

Paediatric First Aid

Being a parent brings a huge amount of responsibility. One of the most important skills you can equip yourself with is learning what to do in an emergency. Our qualified First Aid instructor will teach you:

  • How to deal with breathing issues
  • How to conduct a primary survey
  • How to do CPR on a baby under 12 months old
  • Action for choking in a baby under 12 months old.

Sensory Play

Stimulate your baby’s senses at our baby disco! There will be lights, music, movement and bubbles, all designed to promote sensory development in your baby.

Sensory play in babies builds nerve connections within the brain's neural pathways, supports language development, cognitive growth, motor skills, memory function and a sense of calm and relaxation.

Social Time

Building a network of friends after having a baby is an incredibly supportive and rewarding experience. At Lullababy, we recognise the need to talk, support and make friendships as you embark upon this new chapter in your life.

Baby Graduation

To celebrate all that your baby has achieved over the 5 week course, a LullaBaby graduation certificate will be presented to each baby. This is followed by photograph opportunities and tea and cake for the grown-ups! As well as the comprehensive course and first aid training, you also receive a course guide with room for note taking, a bottle of pure sunflower oil for massage, a rainbow ribbon to begin your sensory adventure with your baby, all contained within a branded LullaBaby bag, so that you can keep all of your course essentials in one place.

What do our customers say?

"LullaBaby is wonderful! I really wanted to find an accessible, small and friendly baby group which wouldn’t be the same thing every week. The Step 1 LullaBaby course exceeded my expectations! My little boy was 7 weeks when we started and slept through the first session but it didn’t matter because I was still able to learn the skills covered and chat to other Mums. The book you receive is really helpful and we use the baby massage oil regularly. The course was both fun and informative and Jo does a really great job of making you feel at ease. I can’t recommend it highly enough - we have now signed up to step 2!"

"Yesterday my 15 week old little girl Ruby graduated Step 1 of the LullaBaby Sensory Course. Ruby has never been very good at being put down or letting me sit down. This has put me off doing too many baby classes/groups with her for fear of wasting our time/money. This is where Step 1 of the LullaBaby course has been brilliant for us as there is a focus on the parents learning various skills (baby massage, baby yoga, paediatric first aid) during the sessions and so although we may not have been able to join at the time, I was able to go away and practice what we had learnt at home at a time when Ruby was happy to do these things. On top of this, Jo really is very lovely and makes you feel welcome and at ease from the off (even when your baby is crying their eyes out). Thanks you, looking forward to starting Step 2!"

We can’t wait to welcome you along!
