Hello,
My name is Gemma and I live in Plymouth with my husband Jamie who is in the Royal Marines Band, my daughter Iyla who is a strong-willed, independent little girl and my gorgeous little boy Ellis who is 3 months old. I absolutely love being a mummy and my family mean everything to me!
In a previous life, I was a primary school teacher for 9 years and taught across all age ranges, spending most of my teaching career within Early Years which is where my passion lies. I absolutely loved teaching and working with young minds (it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do).
However, when I had Iyla it became increasingly difficult to strike a healthy work/home life balance and I felt like there were important milestones I missed out on. When I had opportunity to join the LullaBaby team and be around for my family but still work with children, I had to jump on board this incredibly exciting opportunity. Children’s development has always been incredibly important to me and I’m so grateful I get to continue this through Lullababy Plymouth.
While on maternity leave with Iyla and Ellis, I loved taking them to a variety of different baby classes focusing on supporting their development. Not only was it beneficial for them, but it was the perfect environment for me to meet other mummies and make life-long friends to share the wonderful journey of motherhood with.
I ensure that my weekly sessions are a place parents can feel at ease, comfortable and the right environment to make long-lasting friendships. There is a really friendly family feel to LullaBaby, one where we all support each other on this crazy journey through parenthood.
